The method
The body knows how to heal itself. Our only work is to stop obstructing it — and to give it what it actually needs.

These are individual experiences. Results vary from person to person.
The biggest difference in seven days was waking up without that heaviness. I changed when I ate, and sleep sorted itself out.
Sugar was measured every day at the camp, so I had a reading in front of me instead of a guess. I took my reports to my doctor afterwards and we decided the next step together.
I carried a tablet in my pocket for twenty years. I had no idea how much difference simply eating dinner earlier would make.
The best part was that nobody told me to stop my medicine. What they said was — learn to watch your own body.
Stairs were hard because of my knees. Gentle movement and a change in food went together, and in three months I could feel it.
Seven days beside the Ganga at the ashram — silence, pranayama and simple food. Something lifted in the mind too.

Founder
For four decades Param Aanand Ji has said that most illness is not a failure of the body but the result of how it has been treated — and what habit built, habit can change.
His camp does not preach. It lives a routine for seven days so that a person can carry it home themselves. “Become your own doctor” is the sentence he repeats most.
A day at the camp
The first question anyone asks before coming is simply — what actually happens there? Here is the whole day.

Your questions
Contribution
The camp runs on your own voluntary contribution. Those who can, give more, so that those who cannot can still come. It has worked this way for forty years.
Suggested amounts
No one is ever turned away simply because they cannot contribute.

Wisdom

There is no shortage of advice on what to eat. Almost nobody talks about when — although the body answers to that more.

Fasting sits in tradition and in physiology alike. Both say the same thing — the digestive system needs an interval.
